Sauna

Depending on the kind of operation, the patient should not use the sauna for up to six months following surgery, as excessive heat may cause swelling to reoccur and inhibit smooth scarring. This applies particularly to nose operations. With minor operations, the patient may resume sauna bathing after three months.
